Dr. Kashani has been treating patients and providing quality, patient and long lasting dental care for 25 years.
The Dr. is a well experienced general dentist. He provides Pediatric care to children. KOR Whitening, Invisalign Teeth Straightening, Root Canal Therapy, Crowns, Bridges, Periodontal/Gum therapy, Extractions, Implant Restorations......
The doctor can provide many different crowns, from the tried and true PFM, to the newer solid zirconia, porcelain fused to zirconia and Lithium Disilicate Aesthetic All Ceramic crowns.
The doctor believes in using high quality material that will allow us to provide work that should last a long time and provide you with great quality and comfort. For instance, he uses Impregum from Germany, Clearfill from Japan, KOR Whitening from the US, Gutta Percha from Korea , Sealapex from Italy, etc to allow him to provide the kind of dentistry that he would want his own wife and children to get. These high quality products cost more than other brands, but the doctor wants to get great results that last , and he is willing to spend to do that.
The doctor performs a visual and tactile exam using high quality explorers from Karl Schumacher and Sons Dental Instruments . These instruments are very expensive, but they far exceed other manufacturers in their quality and ability to detect decay. He uses analogue x-rays to see in between teeth, under some fillings, and through the gums. While digital x-rays have their benefits, they are unfortunately notorious for missing certain kinds of cavities.
No, not at all, they have their benefits, but analogue x-rays will help the doctor to detect decay when it's still small and can be treated by a simple filling. With digital x-rays, the decay might only be detected when the tooth actually starts breaking due to the cavity. That is surprising to many people, but the widely used CMOS digital sensors actually can't pick up small cavities and certain other cavities even when they get bigger ! ( Actually the doctor was even surprised when he read that ! )
The doctor would like to see all of his work last for many years and yet be affordable for his patients. So generally he will place white fillings on front teeth, but on the back teeth, for chewing surface and flossing cavities, he places silver. fillings . He does this because silver oxide from the fillings naturally slow down the decay process. Meaning, that a tooth with a silver filling, will likely last the patient longer than a comparable tooth restored with a white filling. Silver fillings are not white, but they are generally on parts of teeth in the back that can't be seen when you smile.
The doctor believes that he is in practice to care for the patient's dental needs.
While he is adept at providing cosmetic dentistry, he is not in practice to "sell" unnecessary dentistry.
Most patients don't generally enjoy going to the dentist. It can be uncomfortable . However, maintaining your dental health is important to your overall well being, and sometimes you will need fillings, crowns, gum work, root canals, maybe even extractions, to treat problems that have arisen in your mouth.
That's where a responsible and caring doctor like Dr. Kashani can help you. After examining your mouth and the proper x-rays, he will tell you what problems he sees and how he can help you fix them.
There is no interest, on our part, to convince you to do things that you can do without. We are simply interested in providing you with high quality dental HEALTHCARE, like you would expect from a responsible Doctor.
